About Aileen Comora
For nearly four decades, Aileen has represented buyers and sellers throughout Los Angeles, building a career around experience, discretion and long-term relationships. Since entering the business in 1987, she has worked with a distinguished clientele, including many in the entertainment industry, where privacy and confidentiality are essential. A Los Angeles native, Aileen's knowledge of the city and its neighborhoods has been shaped by a lifetime spent here. She has watched Los Angeles change block by block and understands the differences between its communities in a way that only comes with time. Her work has taken her from Beverly Hills and Bel Air to the Hollywood Hills, Cheviot Hills, Hancock Park, Los Feliz, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Malibu and beyond. As she likes to say, she specializes in the client, not just the area. Early on, Aileen was told she would never make it in the business because she was too nice. She proved otherwise. For many years, Aileen served as a trusted real estate advisor to the late Diane Keaton, guiding her through all of her iconic Los Angeles home purchases. In addition to being a strong negotiator, Aileen became a trusted resource on architecture, provenance and the historic significance of the properties Keaton was drawn to. Architecture has been an important part of Aileen's work throughout her career, and she has represented significant properties by Paul R. Williams, Wallace Neff, John Lautner, Richard Neutra and many other celebrated Los Angeles architects. Aileen's career began at Alvarez, Hyland & Young, one of Los Angeles' original boutique real estate firms. Her love of architecture later took her to Mossler, Deasy & Doe, the leading architectural real estate firm of the time and a natural fit for someone drawn to important houses and the stories behind them. She then spent 10 years with Westside Estate Agency before being selected as one of the founding partners of The Agency. Together with her business partner of more than two decades, Paul Lester, Aileen has consistently ranked among Los Angeles' top-producing agents, with more than $3 billion in career sales. Their partnership has endured because of a shared commitment to their clients and a hands-on approach that has remained remarkably consistent over the years. Many of Aileen's client relationships span decades. Clients return to her for later purchases and sales, and just as often send their children, friends and colleagues her way. For Aileen, those relationships have always mattered as much as the transaction itself. Aileen is known for her availability, patience, attention to detail and steady approach to what can be a very personal process. Her goal is simple: to make buying or selling a home feel well managed, informed and, ideally, enjoyable. Her goal is simple to make your experience positive and memorable. And nearly forty years later, being "too nice" seems to have worked out just fine.
