About Kati Sommer
Kati comes from a multigenerational Santa Fe family and offers clients an authentic insider's perspective on the area's diverse neighborhoods and distinctive character. Prior to becoming a broker, she worked as an escrow officer, giving her a detailed understanding of contracts, timelines, and the behind-the-scenes mechanics of a successful closing. She also maintains strong relationships with local title companies, so she knows exactly who to call when questions come up. That network helps her resolve issues quickly, keep transactions on track, and guide clients with clarity and confidence. She studied public health at Portland State University and spent years as a high school garden coordinator and volunteer, building garden programs that connected students with nature and healthy food. That work reflects the thoughtful, people-centered approach she brings to every client. Kati's connection to Santa Fe is woven into her family history. Her mother owned Kaune's, the beloved neighborhood grocery store, where she spent her childhood getting to know the neighbors who gathered there. Her grandfather, William Lumpkins, was a pioneering architect and abstract painter whose solar adobe homes helped shape Santa Fe's distinctive style and who led restorations of landmarks including La Fonda and the Santuario de Guadalupe. Growing up with that legacy gave her an early appreciation for the region's architecture, art, and culture, and a nuanced understanding of the lifestyle and market that define living here. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors with her dog, baking, and tending her own garden. Whether buying or selling, Kati brings local knowledge, professional expertise, and genuine care to every client relationship.
